Inspired from going to the edge of the garden at the beach house, where Port Hacking meets our garden, I would often leave my shirt on a rock to go for a swim.
Peter-Francis-Lawrence-Finke-River
Painted on a trip to the Northern Territory. I have a fascination with Alice Springs because my parents lived there during the 1950's. My father worked for Connellan Airways. Both my sisters were born in Alice Springs and parents were friendly with the artist, Albert Namatjira.
Peter-Francis-Lawrence-Sydney-Sandstone
This painting is about the coastline with its amazing sandstone rock face along the beaches, harbour and waterways. How they have weathered and eroded into beautiful lines, shapes and patterns.
Peter-Francis-Lawrence-Sunset-Sunrise
The inspiration came from the incredible sunrises and sunsets in the Port Hacking, The Royal National Park.
Peter-Francis-Lawrence-Meditation
This paining is about Port Hacking, south of Sydney on the edge of the Royal National Park. I am constantly mesmerised by the sand bar and tide - with incredible colours and constant change.
